Useful Tech Links

A massive collection of web 2.0 tools, sorted by task/activity.

Each time I've gotten to attend a workshop by Chris Moore, I've walked out with a ton of ideas, and the motivation to move forward with him.  East Dragon Den is his class blog--a nice model for how to use blogging as a literacy tool not only with 5th graders, but across a variety of levels.

Interesting news and ideas regarding tech and K-12 education.

Andrew Churches' Educational Origami is an awesome site containing a plethora of Digital Blooms Taxonomy Resources.

Another great site with lots of curated lists of tools, skills, and resources.  I'm particularly fond of their "Educational Alternatives to YouTube" eBook.

Richard Byrne's site is a wealth of information and ideas for integrating tech into the K-12 classroom.

Infinite Thinking Machine is an internet TV show that focuses K-12 educators, students and families with the goal of inspiring creativity and innovation.  Check it out...pretty entertaining!

Tech Guru Kathy's Schrock's website with her  cog model of the revised Bloom's Taxonomy.  She has also developed a table that shows iPad apps and activities that align with Digital Blooms.

I find Aditi Rao's tech ideas applicable and useful.  I first started following her site when I stumbled upon her "21st Century Icebreakers" list.

Jennie Magiera's Technology in Education blog is an awesome source of information about how to use tablets and other devices to innovate your classroom.  She evaluates lots of apps, products and web tools--and provides useful feedback for the rest of us!

Another tech ed site that has a focus on iPads.

Tech Sherpas is a Student Tech Support site in which students in Maine provide video instructions, feedback and guidance on how to optimize tech (at home and in the classroom).  I'd love to get my students doing something like this!
